The Bursa manufacturing plant of Renault is the largest Renault factory outside of Western Europe. With close to 6,000 employees they produce 350,000 vehicles per year as well as 450,000 gearbox and engine units. Renault runs SAP as their ERP and implemented eBA in 2007 for workflow and archiving functions.
Requesting time off or vacation was a manual- based business process that required involving more than one person, and was taken too much time to approve and update the company’s HR application.
A simple HR leave request form was developed in eBA Studio along with an approvals workflow and pull & push of data to and from the HR application.

Contracts management was a manual form- based process rife with security and compliance issues, limited audit trails and lost or misplaced paper-work. Yearly, thousands of contracts went through this process resulting in significant loss of productivity.
A contract lifecycle management application was build with eBA to streamline the creation, negotiation and updation of supplier and vendor contracts including automated approval workflows, audit trails of all contract changes and the ability to revert to previous versions, and automated alerts based on clauses, renewals and other compliance needs.

Keeping up with regulations — such as the the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO's) 27001 Standard had become a significant burden for Renault leading to increased costs, and a drop in confidence in the current manual compliance approach. Manual compliance efforts did not reflect the company's current security compliance posture accurately, because they only captured snapshots in time.
Renault utilized their existing investment in eBA to build compliance process automation for environmental analysis purposes.
Automation of Renault’s environmental compliance efforts provided a better and more effective way for Renault to meet regulatory mandates and curb compliance costs.
The parts shipment processes to manufacturers as well as the materials receiving process was reliant on various paper-based forms that sometimes got mislocated or contained data errors.
Ship to and receive from forms were created in eBA and integrated with SAP ERP for data pull and push. Approvals and notifications were routed through eBA.
